Anyone else miss the 2006-8 era of political memes? Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I remember a time when we could all laugh at politics, when the memes weren't tainted with today's hyper-partisanship. Maybe we weren't as invested in each election as we are today, or maybe we felt that the stakes weren't as high, but either way, political memes today just aren't the same.
