PSA: Artist Teranen does not like having his works posted on KYM and requests deletion upon spotting any.

(Not sure if this is the right forum section for this, so feel free to move this if it is not)

As title says. About 3 posts from artist Teranen (@teranentwii on Twitter if you are interested) were posted here and promptly removed recently, not because of any site rules, but because he contacted a mod about it. This is at least the second time this happens, too. I guess I do not need to explain why or the mentality behind artists doing this; I think we all know what is happening here and the whole can of worms behind that topic.

So… yes, this is basically just to let any would-be posters here know about it and avoid posting any of his stuff here on KYM. No need to deal with that headache just for furry semi-lewds, really. With that said, may I suggest posting the rules-friendly work of Diives instead..? ("Diives" on Newgrounds if you are interested)

He is obviously a lot more chill and even grateful about it. Mike Inel is also chill with his work being posted here and even did so once himself, though he makes less stuff that could be posted on KYM in contrast, so be more careful with that one.

That is all.

Sounds like their problem to me, if they don't like other people seeing their stuff that's presumably free to see on their DA a Twitter then they can sit there and enjoy me not knowing who they are except for "That one jackass that doesn't like people reposting the art that they handed out for free for some reason."

I could see how someone could have a problem if they weren't being credited, but if that wasn't the case they're just going to be all tight about it then they can sit and miss out on additional free publicity.

Imagine drawing copyrighted characters, watermarking them with your username, posting them online for free, and objecting to people reposting them elsewhere for free (and usually linking the source too).

Do image posters even visit forums? I swear there are like 20 people total here.

Well, my other option was to make an image and post it on a non-entry, but that felt a little on the nose and exaggerated for a rather small inconvenience, so the small scope of the forums here felt more appropiate.

Good, there's more than enough degenerate furry "art" on this site anyway. I don't get why people can't just use booru for that shit.

It's much better and easier to respect an artist's wishes rather than pressuring them by raising public opinion making them look selfish.

Artists can have very contrasting views and reasonings about reposters. At some point, it really shouldn't be new to hear this.

speaking as an artist myself, as long as you credit the artist, I don't mind reposters. it only becomes a massive issue if you don't credit the artist and claim it as you're own. this really pisses me off especially when the repost in question has more attention than the original work.
