LockedSo over the past few months, a word of advice has been hammered in my head constantly: try pandering to yourself first.
At first, I always misunderstood it has private all your work and making for yourself only so no one can ever see it. Although I do that often, since let's be real here some things aren't meant to be shared….I never really understood for what it is. What it really means is you need to start caring about your own visions rather than catering to the visions of others. If you try to cater to the visions of others you end up being like folks like good ole questionable content over here.
I pretty much stop trying to cater to people's wishes at this point. Trying to please everyone not only made me depressed but turned me off from the idea of making creative projects in the first place..it was only until I started realising the source of my unhappiness I started to change for the better.
It's pretty clear we have quite differing opinions on a lot of subjects:
- I edgy and manly anime
- I'm a pervert first and foremost
-as left leaning as they come
But despite this fact I still respect some opinions here. Sure I may feel the need to kill someone over one dissenting opinion but besides that point I'm just joking.
I pretty much stop giving a shit what people think of me. I don't care if folks say hate comments about, I don't care if two dudes kissing is on the nose, I don't care if someone threatens to kill me over the art style not being to their taste. I just stopped giving a shit at this point. Life is short so you might as well make it the best you can. We all gonna die someday anyway.
So I guess I'm one with my spirit animal the honey badger…
