Celebrities whose reputations were ruined only after they died

Most often we hear of celebrities ruining their reputations while they're still living, such as with people like Bill Cosby or Kevin Spacey, but I'm a bit curious, what are some examples of "famous" or "well known" people whose reputations only became ruined following their death?

There are only two examples I'm personally aware of. First is a recent example, JewWario. A former Channel Awesome contributor who left the site in 2013, and later committed suicide in 2014. Four years following his death he was fondly remembered by other CA members and fans alike, but during the Change The Channel controversy of 2018 (where former CA members made it really public how CA is mismanaged by Mike Machaud and the Walker brothers seem barely capable of confronting him about said mismanagement) emails were made public that revealed the real reason for JewWario leaving CA was because he was actually fired over sexual misconduct, but members of CA who knew this decided to not make this information public at the time. Following this news a lot of former CA contributors and fans are now quite shocked they mourned the death of someone who turned out to actually be a real sleazebag behind the scenes, with some former CA members (like Phelous) even re-editing and re-uploading videos that originally featured JewWario cameos to now no longer have him.

The second person I'm aware of is Jimmy Savile. Now here in the US he's not very well known, but in the UK he was one of the more famous TV presenters of the 20th century, even being knighted by Queen Elizabeth. However following his death in 2011 people came forward with reports that Savile had a history of sexual misconduct that he kept out of the public eye, namely molesting and even raping underaged girls. Following an investigation Savile's seedy past was exposed big time, and now he's considered one of Britain's most infamous people.

Remember Chris Benoit? He was a very popular and beloved WWE wrestler. When he hanged himself in June 24 2007, everybody mourned as normally. But after learning that before his suicide he killed his wife and suffocated their 7-year-old son, WWE quickly distanced itself from Chris Benoit and tried to remove as many of his name as possible, as if he didn't exist at all.
