KYM just isn't what it used to be. It's been six years, but I'm strongly considering moving on. I find almost nothing worth commenting on, things change even when they don't need to, it's just not fun here anymore.

So I'm looking for suggestions to other place that are similar to the way old Trending used to be, full of shitposts and amusing content that keeps me guessing and pleasantly surprised. If it's a subreddit, that's fine too. I might consider a Discord server as well. Whatever the case, the KYM I loved is gone and I need to ramble on elsewhere.

The only thing I can think of is the KYM Discord since you mentioned Discord. That's all I can provide you btw

Assuming that this isn't another "Why I left KYM" bait, I can't say that there are many more websites like early KYM. The internet has grown rapidly in the past decade, and the meme culture of just a few years back is gone.
Newgrounds may be good; it's having a bit of a revival now.
I have no idea how Something Awful is doing, but I've always heard how it was a pioneer in internet culture.
Reddit has thousands of sub-reddits, so there should surely be one that interests you.
See if you like a board on 4chan(nel). It's been famously dead for a few years, but some boards like /toy/ are pretty chill.

Ah right, Newgrounds. I'd relish the chance to go back there. Any other folks switching over? I'm probably not going to go to a *chan, as they tend to be a little too toxic for my tastes. I want a chill place, not somewhere that calls you a faggot for existing. At least, not without consent. I've heard SA is basically a closed circlejerk that doesn't like new blood, so I've not even considered them.

As for Reddit, that's exactly my concern. Because there are so many subs and no decent way to search through them as I am aware, I was looking for potential recommendations.

May I suggest FunnyJunk? I'm not sure what to say about the site since I haven't used it extensively. What I can do say, however, is that it doesn't have the damn 8 second wait between upvotes.

Honestly you're best off looking for a Discord server of something you like (a video game, webcomic, movie, etc) and meet some people to chat with there. Reddit is usually a good place to look for Discord servers.

Well, thank you all for your suggestions and support. I don't know where the winds of salt may lead me, but I hope they make me run into some of you. If you see a Torcularis somewhere, odds are solid that it's me. Until then, stay salty, my friends.

FunnyJunk with proper filters on and Imgur have good enough content and commenting features in them, so you can consider those if you wish. They are much bigger communties than KYM, though, so do not expect to see any equivalent to "the Kymtheon" or anything.

Well you can go to the various Wikias available for shows/movies/games/music you like. Whether as a user or anonymous defiler of articles (be sure to make the edits harmless and inoffensive so you can keep doing it longer before they ban you).
