I just made this account to make this rant/thread about the quality of this platform in general.
Fun thing is, i didn't know the forums existed.

How was this platform back then? What was added or changed? Would you recommend it to others?

Rant
Why do i have the feeling this website is a edgier version of Reddit? From the looks of it, people try to get underneath your skin as much as possible for little to no reason.

Every post that's related to politics it's either ''muh liberals'' and pushing them down the ground as much as they can.

I could complain about the meme page the whole day but i get it it's all personal preference so moving on to the images.
I dont mind NSFW stuff but why is it here and why is it needed on a meme database?
From what the rules relate it's almost looking like /e but slightly quarantined.

Tl:dr i think it's fine just way too out of place.

As any site gets larger, it becomes more and more difficult to moderate the content. While we do our best to keep the content on the site adherent to the rules, we can't guarantee that all content uploaded will adhere to the rules, or how long it will be before it is removed. Furthermore, the site values freedom of speech (within reason), which in many cases causes people to overstep boundaries, as many different views exist for a given subject, and some may be offended at a certain viewpoint. In serious cases, the offending users face loss of access to their account. But again, policing every comment or image uploaded is a monumental challenge for us. We encourage users to report rule breaking content to the mod team so that it can be dealt with.

In regards to the NSFW content, some subjects are inherently NSFW in nature, which means that content pertaining to the subject will also be NSFW. Users are often enthusiastic about sharing their fan art or derivative media with the community, so there are galleries that have tens of thousands of images in them. So while thousands of examples may not be necessary to document something there's not really a reason to enforce an arbitrary restriction on the quantity of content pertaining to a subject (again, within reason). Furthermore, as time passes more notable examples of a subject matter might appear. So as long as it adheres to the rules, you are welcome to submit content to a gallery, even if that gallery has 28,000 images.
