Sorry if this is the wrong section
just wondering about this, as I've noticed an nsfw image of Nintendo characters butts, fully clothed that was trending get removed, get uploaded again, trend, and get removed again
and now another nsfw image featuring fully clothed cartoon butt i had commented on got removed
so are we doing a tumblr?
is something about this breaking the rules?
are there new rules?
is it just one person who hates ass?
Just wondering because it's happened three times now

Maybe a mod has something against you. That's happened to me with this image (I reuploaded it). Some mod removed it and somehow made it to where other mods couldn't see it.
Ah, makes sense
though they weren’t my images
I’m pretty sure they were from different people
I know for a fact at least one image you're talking about is one I posted. IIRC you commented on the pic in the furry gallery of an anthro bee girl with a huge butt (link to the source image which doesn't even require going through an age gate first), but she's wearing jeans so it's no worse than seeing a fat ass out in public. Found it odd that got removed when yet an image still trending right now is this one of a dark skinned 2B showing off quite a bit of booty
I've joked that at some point a mod might get fed up with me and try and prevent me from uploading images, though some mods have also said "eh trust me, you're far from the worst person we've had to deal with."
That’s what I was suspecting, mod abuse
I just wanted to ask in case there was some new rules
must just be a mod with a phobia of nice asses

90% of nsfw posts are just random fanart. I think all/any nsfw content should be allowed, but it must actually be meme related. That will stop the website from just becoming a porn dump.

Now the Nier image is gone, link takes me to a 404 page. Huh.
Hi everyone
I can't comment on specific cases since I'm not aware of every instance of an image being removed, but if a mod hides your image and you think the decision is inappropriate, please DM them or another moderator.
For reference, the rules as they currently stand can be found here. If you double check the image and it seems to follow the rules – or the linked examples – then you should start by pointing that out.
As far as I'm aware there has been no change in the rules.
Interesting how it seems to be mostly images of fat butts, weird.
That’s what I was thinking, they didn’t break any rules that I knew of

I did this and the mod I DM'd couldn't find the image. Mods shouldn't be allowed to remove images without notifying the user who posted it first.

And in my case the mod who removed my images didn't even tell me they did it, which also means I have no idea who it was to begin with.
When it comes to mods editing or moving images it automatically notify us (see Edit History or Inbox). This has happened to me btw
But if it comes to mods deleting images, they do it without any word. Not even an inbox notification tells us who deleted it.
And since that PB96, JC, and MF got that experience, it raises suspicion on Image Moderator's role here
And there's 43 Image Mods if I remember it right
Also, misstress fortune I’ve now accedently downvoted you twice while trying to upvote
sorry

I should clarify something here:
Mods usually don't "delete" images that break the rules, we hide them – the image stays in the system and retains its url, tags, and other metadata, but is no longer viewable by anyone not logged into an account with mod or admin privileges (primarily this is in case we need to report a deleted image to the authorities – such as if someone uploads CP; we don't want to go deleting evidence). There is also a control panel we can look at which shows all images, including hidden ones, as well as who has recently edited them. So if an image has been deleted and you don't know who did it or why, so long as you contact a mod quickly enough it should be possible to track the image down.
None of this guarantees that the hiding will be reversed, but it does mean that the image does still exist on the database and can be restored by a mod should the initial ruling appear incorrect. As for the current spate, I've been DMing people to try and figure out what's happening and I've held off on restoring any of the deletions until I got some kind of answer.
So, tl;dr: if you find an image has been taken down, contact a moderator, preferably a higher-ranked one. They can find the image in the system and see who hid it, though that doesn't guarantee that they'll bring the image back.
Thank you for the response, and thank you for you asking others about what’s going on
