What I mean by this are the most notable members in this community. I'm still kind of new here, so I'm not really sure who are the most famous people here.

The only obvious ones I can remember off the top of my head are Don, Bill-Stan, MIMU, Mistress Fortune, Adam, Matt, RandomMan, Particle Mare, and Nedhitis.

Who else would you consider for this list?

As for users right now, I can't really say much besides adding HumbleWaterFilterMerchant to the list of famous commenters and Memciki to the list of infamous users. I can come up with a list of users who were famous around 2014-15 if you want to see that though.

Are those 2014-2015 users still a bit relevant today?

Most of them are inactive or dead. Those that are still around on KYM or Discord that I can remember off the top of my head would be Patrician Trainer, Rorschach (both of whom are still active on the KYM Discord), and the aforementioned RandomMan and Particle Mare. KYM_Jacob is also still active on KYM.

There are also some other infamous users I can remember. tzeni mpotsi made bad s***posts and users like lolitsameme, RockNRollRainbowJew, NintenbirdIsBack and Bryan See/Bryan Dunsheng who made really bad entries.

Big yikes. The only users that are ever relevant are:

• Massive, prolific shitposters (Mare, RM, Blubber, basically oldfags)
• Really terrible and super vocal about it (Arcanine, Bob, Bill-Stan, Epyc, Palpitoad, Huarez)
• Post/comment enough on porn to have groupies because of how "trending" works (3hug5me, Nedhitis, Miss Fortune, David the NSFW Guy)
• IRL crazies (Lisa, Failed Halifax Shooter, Nebu, probably also Epyc)

Reminder that this thread is about idolizing the worst kind of people. Unemployed basement dwellers. Crippling porn addicts. Failed mass shooters. The mentally ill. People who say "GamerGate" unironically. KYM mods (also mental illness but whatever).

Bill-Stan: you know exactly why.
Mistress Fortune: big commenter with lots of people who respect her. Also NSFW
MIMU: pretty huge commenter with lots of people who like him.
HumbleWaterFilterMerchant: newest guy on this list, impressive the amount of attention he has garnered in a little bit over a year.
Particle Mare: Old fag mod
RandomMan: Old fag mod
Blubber: Old fag mod
Jacob: Old fag mod
Nedhitis: Like a reverse Bill-Stan combined with Mistress Fortune, and MIMU, the perfect recipe for a popular KYM user, really. Also, NSFW.

Dead: (but still somehow relevant)
Emperor Palpitoad: annoying banned user. But also kind of "liked".
Epyc Wynn: Asshole with a huge ego who pretty much everyone hated. Also didn't contribute anything to the site.
Lez Huarez: Core shitposter, banned.
Lisa: She was like a Trump supporter or something? Also banned.
Arcanine: "Disgruntled ex-moderator who tried going out in a blaze of glory."
David the NSFW Guy: IDK, banned NSFW user.
Pachirisu: annoying little shit who was banned.

I don't consider HumbleWaterFilterMerchant famous enough on site to be put as part of the kymtheon, he's too new and hasn't made a name for himself to anywhere near the extent of the likes of Ned or Bill

Yeah, I wasn't completely sure of Lisa's situation, that's why I added: "or something".

I initially didn't include Calculator because I thought his trolling was too simplistic and one-dimensional to be memorable.

But well, seeing as many people do remember him, I guess I might as well put him on there.

Lisa Lombardo was a right-wing user who started out as a Facebook commenter that you'd find below images and entrys right before the proper comment section. She spewed the typical controversial political opinions that would get people mad on this (at the time) mostly left-wing website. One day she decided to join the proper site and started posting in the forums, comment section, and actually contribute material to this site (I think her biggest contribution to KYM was the Clinton Cash entry). She did show herself to be a fellow human being too, which I found to be quite nice (you can find this in the archived camwhore threads), but her political opinions were what made her website infamous.

The reason why she was banned wasn't even very spectacular; she got suspended for some reason and she made an alternate account to evade this suspension. Don (at least I think it was Don) found out about this and banned her for good.

Just thought I'd clear some things up for those who are asking questions about her.

EDIT: I probably should also add that she was very adamant about her political opinions to the point that it made her hostile (see the Animal Kingdom copypasta). And added with the fact that she was very active around here made her different from other political users.

What can I do to get myself into the KYMtheon?

Pretty much what Doeoeod said, be an asshole (Epyc), shitpost a lot (Lez), be VERY vocal about your opinions (Bill-Stan), be an old fag (RandomMan), appeal to NSFW (David), or just comment a lot and hope people like ya (Ned).

Edit: There's also the option of being a genuinely good user (Mistress Fortune), but you know, that's the most difficult one.

Stealing from/editing Some buddy's list

Might be a little generous on some and less generous on others but that's most of my list. There are other users who left the site before I became a mod I still remember and feel like are part of the site, but few today know them. Also Mona being best mod but the things that make them best mod also make them not well know.

Don't know too much about WarriorMan and Laika, but here's what I can tell you:

WarriorMan / DCS WORLD, from what I remember, was either a shitposter, or a guy that was trying too hard to fit in. At one point he mentioned that he was a former ISIS supporter, which drew a lot of emotions from the forums at the time (this was around 2015, when ISIS was still considered a world threat). Besides this and being meme'd on in the camwhore threads, that's all I really remember him for. He may or may not have stalked some users here, I don't know. Eventually he just dractivated and I never heard from him again.

Laika was a British commenter and forum poster that everyone apparently liked. I'll admit, I liked him because from what I've experienced, he was a nice guy. Then one day he came out as a member of a British National Socialist group or something? IIRC he mentioned something about how inferior some races are, "barbaric asiatics" being the only one I vaguely remember (I'm Asian). This also drew a lot of emotions from what I can remember. He even called the failed Halifax shooter a "fake Nazi" around that time. I haven't seen him post in a long time.

And that's that.

I'd probably add The Three Dippers (Fresh Dippy, Jack, and Paper Jam), especially Paper Jam after his last-straw meltdown over High Guardian Spice.

What makes Nebu and Epyc some of the "crazies"?

I thought if anyone were to mention Epyc and I in the same sentence it would be about him before he was banned considering all of the times I flipped out over his shenanigans.

Nebuchadnezzar (Nebu for short) was fine until he started spamming the gallery with and DMing the mods gore.

Explaining Epyc has been done to death, but from what I've heard, he tested the mods' limits big time that it has changed the way how mods do their jobs. You're better off asking an actual mod who was active when Epyc was around to get a better idea.
