This comes as Jones is being sued by the families of the Sandy Hook shooting victims.
Probably warrants a major update to the Alex Jones entry.

Its incredible it didn't happen sooner.
He's an idiot, yes, a big goof. But I don't understand why he was removed in a span under 12 hours.
Not sure how I feel about this. I'm not a fan of censorship but Jones has gone from "Harmless, ridiculous commentator" to a serious propagandist. Then again the irony is that this action will probably only make his fans more rabid.
sigh
So why hasn't Sarah Jeong deplatformed?
Question: Was Alex Jones a satire or not?

Wasn't it just hate speech in general? That's what I hear from the news and the company responses.
AJ is one of the big examples of fake news to the point I cant even take him seriously anymore.

No, he wasn't satire. He's just flat out a mentally ill man who sprouts out harmful propaganda.

the lawsuit was the straw that broke the camel's back.
He's being sued over damages his conspiracy theories have brought to the families of the victims of the shooting, these platforms probably didn't want to be hit in the crossfire by "giving these ideas a platform" and were playing "follow the leader"
Its a good thing Democrats are offering authoritarian commonsense speech regulations that would put a stop to this sort of thing.

I can't wait to see certain people of a political persuasion get mad at jack for the obvious.

"Scoop: 20 ways Democrats could crack down on Big Tech"
If someone made a website called "Alt right is always right" Where you were allowed to post video content but the rule is it has to be pro right wing any other opinions are banned off the site then they have every fucking right to do that, no matter how large the site got. Private servers are not a public space
Alex Jones does not have a constitutional right to use infrastructure and server space he did not build or owns. If you want to argue that the ban is horse shit and immoral, fine If you want to argue that them doing it at the same time is alarming, fine but saying Youtube should be forced into hosting content that could scare away advertisers and harm the site as a whole is bullshit and I do not stand by that and I don't think I ever will. This is coming from a black person that defends Nazis right to exist and speak freely.
