That was a skit from 2009 that was dug up and presented to Dan Harmon to harass him over twitter because twitter is twitter and full of brigading assholes.

Adult Swim has responded to this issue, stating that they don't actually associate nor condone this type of humour, but they don't scold Dan for it because it was just a skit from almost 10 years ago, and since Dan has apologized. He is not getting fired from Adult Swim, and Rick and Morty will continue to be a series.
