Honestly fucking gutted about this. I knew he wasn't long for the world but I wasn't expecting this to happen so soon after that final update. I wish the best for Genna and the rest of his family.

This . . . this hurts.

It first hit me when kitty0706 died, and I still don't know how to respond. I forget just how easy it is to disassociate content creators like himself from reality until it's too late, and it hits a spot in my heart that I thought was reserved for the "real world".

Rest In Peace, you will be missed.

I didn't agree with a lot of his opinions, but there's no doubting how much of an influence he's had on the gaming journalist industry.

RIP

Not really gaming journalist industry but I'd argue just gaming industry in general. He was somewhat like the Upton Sinclair of Gaming. fuck I didn't even like him myself but I'd generally agree with what you said.

Just a reminder that John Bain himself wished death from cancer to others in twitter. Twice.

A buddy of mine said that personal differences over every conceivable concept are part of humanity since the dawn of existence but the concept of death has a universal respect in all cultures, ideologies, and religions.

Regardless of how any of us view TB as a game critic or with politics and the like, we all pay our respects and we also see this whole grave-dancing people are doing to be very unacceptable.

Much as TB told a guy to get cancer, there's also this:

TB regretted being an ass to the guy and on that same note, the guy he told to get cancer basically says "screw you guys" to anyone that can't let go of the cancer thing.

Yeah, after he himself was suddenly affected by it. Before that, he thought it was totally reasonable to tell others to "get cancer":

So Seanza and Antonio Haley, and that's only known cases.

While doing a quick Twitter search isn't showing any sort of resolution between Haley and Biscuit, I will just say this in regards to the second tweet: Who the hell knows what that escalated from and even then, it's nearly ten years old that at some point TB regretted making the post and could no doubt changed from back then. This isn't some attempt at whitewashing the bad things he said but rather is acknowledging possibilities that could of occurred time after he told a guy to get cancer.

If people really think this is all a circlejerk that's trying to "conveniently" forget the dickish attitude TB had, it's not. We're simply just paying respects to the guy, we're not propping him up as a saint and those of us that see people dancing over his grave we're simply getting rather disgusted at.

I'll just leave it here:

He was prideful, of course. But I’ve noticed it hat all lot of people who claim to be trying to prevent people from whitewashing his legacy seem to try their damndest to do the opposite. Jut because someone’s dead doesn’t mean you have to remind people of every mistake they made in life.

I never claimed anything. If lots of people can go to random places in the internet unrelated to him, random videos unrelated to him or even videogames, random sites without any relation to him and mourn I don't see why I can't avoid mourning and tell my opinion. It's not like anybody will be hurt over this. I am just expressing my opinion about him. I never said I'm glad that he died either, even though he was quite controversial figure.

Don't fool yourself, anti-gamergaters weren't the only ones to dislike him.

It's not like everyone here really didn't know TB was abrasive or was disliked by anti-SJW's. The point of this thread is pretty much just paying respect. If you want to post these images as part of an opinion, you're likely better off doing it in the gallery on the TotalBiscuit page.
