everytime i try while add ing the "!!" thing it just comes up as a broken link

As far as I know adding "!!" doesn't work for textile.

If you want to add a link you do this
"Link name": link url
Like this

If you want to post an image you do this
!www.imageurl.jpg!

Like that

You have to post the actually png, jpg, or gif. If you just copy and paste the page hosting it(example below) it will show up as a broken link.

It also has to be from a site that will host the image. Like here, imgur, or possibly a booru site. If you copy it from an image news article for example it won't be there long.
Also, in my experience on here lately images don’t show up immediately after I post them and usually just show up as a blank space at first.
