In my post 2 months ago on video game franchises, I found that Pokémon had by far the most entries on KYM. I decided to do a more in-depth study on the franchise and see how many images each Pokémon species has.
All data was retrieved on April 5th (yes, I took a month). I entered each species name as a tag and saw how many images they had (I used "nidoran" for Nidoran♀ and Nidoran♂ since tags don't read the gender symbols). I listed each Pokémon's National Pokédex number (separated into the 7 generations) and their types (only basic forms if other forms have different types). In addition, I made a note if any of them fell into the following categories: starter Pokémon (or in the family of one), legendary/mythical, and playable character in a Super Smash Bros. game.
Here's the full list from most to least images and here it is in National Pokédex order.

Observations and conclusions:
1. With 4815 images, the brand's mascot Pikachu is far and away the top Pokémon. It's the only one with even 2000. In 2nd place, Gardevoir has 1615 images (33.54% of 1st place).
2. Only 6 Pokémon (0.74%) have 1000 images. The top 10% have at least 209 and the top 50% have at least 44.
3. The top type Electric's mean (190.54) is heavily skewed by Pikachu's 4815 score. Without it, its mean would be 92.15, putting it in 9th place between Steel and Water.
4. The top generation 1's mean (172.02) is also skewed by Pikachu. Without it, its mean would be 141.07, narrowly putting it in 2nd place behind generation 6's 143.14.
5. Super Smash Bros. characters, with a mean of 1220.44 and standard deviation of 1338.65, has the highest distribution of any category I looked at.
6. I regret not counting Eevee and the Eeveelutions as a category, but I'll order them here: Eevee (923), Sylveon (847), Glaceon (562), Flareon (550), Umbreon (530), Vaporeon (493), Espeon (446), Jolteon (367), and Leafeon (344). With a mean of 562.44 and standard deviation of 187.52, this becomes the category with the 2nd highest distribution behind SSB.
7. The other categories' means and standard deviations respectively: starter families (246.87; 241.15) and legendary/mythical Pokémon (119.65; 143.05).
