What counts as thicc?

thicc is a slang term and it really only means whatever an individual or a group decides it means.

For some, like me, thicc means someone with wide hips and maybe a little bit of chub. But for others it means something else. There isn't really a point in debating over it honestly.

TripleA9000 I think said it best. It's a made up term and as such, different people use it differently. They can also use it differently in different circumstances.

Personally I've seen it used much more on illustrated figures. I have no doubt that some people describe real people like this but I've not seen it and it's a little creepy to me tbh.

Generally it is used to describe laterally wide (upper) legs. "How wide is wide" is subjective, but generally "wider than average". This could be due to fat, muscle, weird pants or some combination of these.

Many feel it does not exclude figures that are "chubby" in areas outside of just the legs, even if it does make the legs more in proportion to the rest of the body (yes I do realize that people can have different body plans from one another.) However, the "sincere" usage of "thicc" starts to fade the larger they are. Someone who maybe slightly overweight would likely be sincere. Someone who looks 600lbs overweight is almost certainly going to called this as a joke. Generally when used in sincerity it seems to be a sign the commentator finds them attractive. (Of course because of tastes and fetishes, some may find the beyond morbidly obese figures more attractive than one at a much healthier weight.)

As said before, it's subjective. However, generally it's going to be less controversial applying the label to someone drawn with wide legs and maybe slightly overweight, compared to someone who would have difficulty moving and be at a serious health risk if they were alive and at that weight.

Of course, even then this can stir controversy.

I agree with Jacob's statement that Thicc is subjective, although to me it seems larger than average breasts count towards being thicc though this could just be because they're accompanied by thick thighs. At the same times some people seem to classify thicc as just having a nice ass, although to me it more that a nice ass is a potential byproduct of thicc.
