There are a lot of little pieces of shit out there who take it upon themselves to make other people's lives a living hell. It starts at school, of course, but the fact it extends to even adulthood just baffles me. The fact there're full grown adults who're practically no different than the bullies you had to deal with in high school. The fact there're adults out there who make it their mission to fuck up the world and ruin people who just want to live their lives is pretty horrifying.
It's usually adults who end up fucking the world the most, especially those who wind up in positions of power, and I consider those people to be bullies; people who don't really care about anybody and just want to show everyone how tough they are. And I really don't like that; for such power to be relentlessly abused when it could be use for good saddens me, because I can only imagine how many problems would be solved if that power was in the hands of someone who actually cared.
I personally don't see myself doing that much good if I ever had such power, especially considering this country and others have done a LOT of things to a LOT of groups of people I don't like. And for someone like me to have that kind of power…I don't think it would be pretty. I'd honestly be a bully, too, just for the sake of getting back on the bullies who ruined the world I love.
But I'm taking about the people who, while not perfect, actuallt give a damn about the world and the people in it. People who despise bullying and wouldn't dare torment other people for being different. How come those people never wind up in these positions, and instead assholes who'd just abuse that power always do.
Bullies have a tendency to get jobs where they can legally fuck with people, such as police officers and politicians, but again, I can only imagine what this world would be like if that wasn't the case.
But why, though? Why is it that the bullies will never truly leave?
