Souvannarath has been sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of parole after 10 years in custody. But it's seen as unlikely that she'll ever be set free since she appears to have no remorse for her plan.

It should probably be noted that Randall Shepard, the other suspect, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

HoH was indeed active when I became a mod and she was active on the first batch of our IRC channel as well. I don't remember if all of her logs were saved but, in earnest, I admit that I (and I'm only referring to me here, not the whole team) let her behavior slide as "edgy" back then. As far as I remember, she didn't break any "rule" per se. As some people stated it in the link you shared, she didn't discuss nazism as openly as everyone may think she was. Her obsession about her "emperor" and everything was not seen as very "serious" because KYM was receiving a great influx of channers or, at the very least, people inspired by the chans. Most of them were acting in jest. I mean, at that time, we also had our very first furry community on here, for example, and we were more busy dealing with our ED neighborhood as well.
But yeah, as far as I'm concerned, I was more naive back then than I am now. If my younger self knew a bit of what I've discovered and learnt up until now, I would certainly have done something to warn the mods and the staff.

You know this is pretty surreal seeing that lunatic was once part of this dank community.

Really hope no media news and tabloid attempting to scapegoating this website as her "inspiration".

Just because the mods didn't ban her ass even when she broke no rules, from what I'm hearing, just because she was spouting an ideology people don't like doesn't mean they supported or helped her in anyway. Someone who is going to do something like this isn't going to be stopped by the mods of a meme site getting on your ass. And the FBI doesn't need a shooter to get access to your social media accounts.
