What type of conspiracies do you actually believe in?

As for me, I absolutely feel that 911 was faked by the US government. (Do your own research)

Another one I strongly agree with is that certain people shown in American news stories considered as "victims" are actually hired actors by either news media giants or the government it's self.

As for the "Flat Earth Theory", didn't someone travel in a moderately strait course around the world in 80 days? Wouldn't that mean that if you traveled in a straight trajectory and end up in around the same area, would mean it was a sphere? idk

Video for semi-relevance

So, what do you guys think? Is it all for attention? Or is there more to it than what other people tell us? I'd be very interested what the forum thinks. Thanks!

It just really bothers me how things get brought up and are dismissed by higher authorities. Is misconception so acceptable that we don't even care anymore?

My feel:

  1. We need another moon landing. This is long over due.

WHY is it that for people with so much intelligence can't properly explain why the documentation of said endeavors aren't properly documented. As far as showing clear pictures, reputable witesses.

(it's one thing if you know something) but not sharing it can have dramatic consequence.

I'm not going to say that the video I posted is true, but it does rise some valuable questions and information that all of us should speculate.

I think this is an awkward question. I don't consider things I believe in "conspiracies", because to me they are obviously true, though shills other people may consider them conspiracies.

Just as I'm convinced some things are absolutely insane conspiracy theories (for example, white supremacy (as in, a political and social system)), while many vegetables people believe them to be true.

I believe the "mass culling" conspiracy where, if enough robots replace humans, armed drone swarms will be released to get rid of any humans that the drone controllers hate.

I think China will be the first to try this out.

The reason why we keep running out of blood in hospitals is because the doctors are actually vampires, and the plasma is used to power their interstellar starships so that they can return to their home planet Nosthematen.

Anything else on the conspiracy level, I don't care what you believe, but this one, this crisis actors thing. Is. Not. Real.

I part-time as an actor on the jobber level (I am no one anyone would have heard of, though). Having done some roleplay acting (something like, a hospital is training nurses, you go in and pretend to be ill etc. for their training lessons) I heard about this crisis acting thing a couple of years back and thought, "sounds fishy but could be some good money". But the thing is, you cannot find this job. The job does not exist. You cannot apply for it anywhere. No one is looking for crisis actors; no one is trying to hire them. There are hundreds of thousands of extras and jobber actors out there who would take this work in an instant – me being one of them – but they can't because it does not exist.

I'd have to say I believe pharmaceutical corporations, at least to some degree, have suppressed medical research in the past to avoid it killing their profits. Probably not to the degree you'll find on black-screen websites with a dozen fonts, but I'm pretty confident it's happened.

Why am I getting downvoted? It's a conspiracy… lol

Plus, If you can add evidence or whatever go ahead.

I'm not sitting here trying to make anyone believe anything because none of it is proven!!!

I thought it was an interesting topic worth discussing. No need to be offended, jeez

sorry ?

The moon landing: Faked.

John F. Kennedy's assassination: There were two men and the one they caught was intentionally set to take the fall.

9/11: It was orchestrated by the Bush administration to rile up the citizens of America so a war seemed acceptable.

Pentagon attack: It was a missile and not a plane.

Nazi base on the moon: I don't actually believe this but it's a good laugh if you haven't heard about it before.

The death of Aaron Swartz: It wasn't a suicide. It was a convincing murder by the CIA.

I don't believe in conspiracy theories. Now do i believe the government does shady shit? Yes.

But something along the lines of 'this politician has been involved in a sex scandal' or 'the government is illegally selling weapons to violent groups' is a lot more plausible than 'reptiles have invaded the earth' or 'the Illuminati has been responsible for every bad event throughout history'

So i chose to make a distinction between conspiracy theories, and a theory of conspiracy.

Why would they want to cripple the federal government? Then we couldn't permanently occupy the middle-east, ban weed, and net neutrality will probably come back.

It doesn't bother you an iota that balancing the budget would cripple the government? What does that say about our budget problems in this country?

Net Neutrality wouldn't come back if the government failed. It's a government regulation.

I don't know if it's true, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was, sounds plausible…

The "New Coke" blunder was an intentional ploy by Coca Cola company to both spike demand and switch the formula of regular Coke (replacing cane sugar with, substantially cheaper, HFCS). Coca Cola knew they wouldn't be able to fool consumers outright with the change, so New Coke was created as an excellent subterfuge to mitigate their attention.

As crazy certain theories seem, if a large amount of people with no ties to gov./corporations didn't put the effort into keeping an open mind, then we wouldn't have the knowledge we have today.

I do love a great mystery, and the most factual thing about all of this is that it really can't be proven.

So if you are on this thread and get upset/scared/unsure/validated just know that this is all speculation. thx

I have a couple of my favorite conspiracy theories, in particular "the moon is a hologram" and "years from AD 614–911 never really happened".

Those are just too hilarious, and what is even more funny to me is that people actually believe that. It takes an especially gullible and deluded mindset to consider such things "theories" in the light of overwhelming evidence.

There is a lot that is done beyond the knowledge of the public, and corporations have their own share of dirty tricks, but there is a rather clear line between 'unlikely, but could have happened' and 'YUO CAN'T KNOW!!1'.

Also, Alex, there is something that is called "falsifiability". If something cannot be proven false, then there is no ground to take such a concept seriously. Additionally, resources that we do have disprove and often indicate that such baseless "conjectures" (as a scientist, I will refrain from using a word as strong as a theory) are untrue.
