Youtube has been deleting people's reactions to Logan Paul

Pyrocynical's video entitled "Logan Paul, delete your channel" was deleted for "misleading metadata". Several other people's videos have been removed as well.

Youtube's response to this controversy unquestionably warrants its own forum topic.

I mean, I wouldn't put it past Pyrocynical to use misleading metadata to get more clicks, but if Youtube is seriously deleting reactions and using misleading metadata as a cover, then that's just one foot deeper Youtube has dug its own grave. First the Adpocalypse, now giving preferential treatment to people who are popular and in turn earn lots of ad revenue for YT. The thing is, they can do whatever they want because they have a monopoly on the video sharing site ecosystem. What's everyone going to do, go to Vimeo?

It's time to contact advertisers and tell them that Youtube is promoting videos of suicide victims. Just bring on a third Ad-pocalypse because honestly that seems to be the only time Youtube does something.

First of all i call bullcrap on logan paul!!! From the begining i knew something was off about logan. i was subscribed to Logan paul untill this crap. i mean this guy should have already been considered a bad guy. I mean…… Logan hooked up with allisa violet
(Which is Jakes Ex-girl) Dont you guys think thats a little wrong???
He was laughing at a depressed dead soul that committed suicide. if he committed suicide would we laugh at him….. No!!! would call 9-1-1 Not make a flippping vlog!!! "Oooh we in suicide forest" well if its a forest were you are to find a dead body Just its simple do NOT record!!!!!!!!!

Do you know any leads on how to find Youtube's advertiser lists?

No, they have a monopoly on paying people good ad revenue. Dailymotion's the US's third largest video site, is owned by a large corporation so isn't likely to go anywhere anytime soon, but whenever Youtube does something stupid, no one seems to want to move over there. I can only assume it's because they're much worse at paying out than Youtube is. It's even more obvious for Vimeo, since they have explicitly banned ads.

So long as people make more money using Youtube, they're never going to switch to another site, regardless as to how many controversies or videos Youtube deletes or censors.

The problem isn't that they have better ad revenue, it's the fact that moving your livelihood to a different site with a smaller userbase and an uncertainty enough of your fanbase will follow you on top of not knowing if Dailymotion will do the same shit anyway makes trying to move to another site creator suicide.

It stinks that no one has stepped up to make a competitor.

There needs to be a platform that both thrives on its own for a while and offers features YT doesn't and only then will people start moving out.

A. Its crazy expensive to run these kinds of sites
B. Sites like Vidme were just Youtube reuploads with no real community of its own
C. Most normies don't see an issue with Youtubes current system or just don't care.

Its entirely possible but it will take a lot of work from a lot of passionate people. Id personally like a site like Youtube but run by people who are in the community not faceless IT nobodies who take no responsibility. When Newgrounds fucks up people yell at Tom folp when Youtube messes up people yell at Youtube.

But the day someone pulls this off they will be very very rich dudes.

As much as I would love to see Youtube finally get the message, they'll end up messing it up for everyone else. I do think that the Paul Brothers sponsors in particular should pull away for their scummy behavior just not the entirety of most honest content creators still struggling.
