I'm not sure why many are talking about this. About a few days ago, the Trump Administration declared Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and plans to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. Jerusalem has been in serious heat as some people claim the city is the captial of Israel while others claim the city is the capital of Palestine. The United States has finally performed this recognition nearly 70 years after the nation of Israel was formed. As such, people in Middle Eastern ans South Asian nations are furious about this, which has sparked worldwide protest in these nations. Any thoughts? This is causing MASSIVE amounts of heat, but nobody on this website seems to realize the impact.

If I'm to be perfectly honest maybe it's because I'm Pro-Israel myself but I don't see much wrong with it, however I get the feeling that there might be a terrorist attack at the new american embassy because of it.
While I personally support Israel, I can't see enough good coming out of this to justify it. Seems to me like a bad move.

basically me
Everyone is trying to make this into a bigger deal than it is. I find it hilarious that the people that the Gulf Arab states have largely stayed silent on this while everyone in the Western world loses their shit. It's almost as if the majority of people actually don't pay attention to middle-East politics and conflicts until it has to do something with the Jews. Here's the deal: since President Obama signed the nuclear deal with Iran the Gulf Arab states have largely abandoned their reflexive Jew Hatred and by extension the rhetorical and political support for Palestinian cause. Instead, they are more eager to make an ally out of one of the most powerful military forces in the region against a very common enemy.
In less than a week this entire story is going to be largely forgotten, to most people except the Palestinians, who, I hope, realize that the moment to get the best possible deal for themselves has passed. For all the rhetorical nonsense thrown out by the Muslim world, the fact is, the Muslim world is more than happy to trade and cooperate with the Jews than they'd like to admit.
Maybe, just maybe, they'd step up and accept whatever peace deal they can before they lose even more political support.

This is not really true at all. Arab states against this too. And no, I don't think it would be forgotten that soon.
