The rumour mill said that the TPP is coming back

Reuters: TPP countries agree to keep trade deal alive, much work remains
The Last Refuge: TPP Economics, NAFTA, The APEC Summit, Mexico, Canada and Trump…

Some of the detail were re-drafted, but I still remain wary of those sneaky snake people. And also, U.S. is out of the deal this time. Some speculated that … sigh. Drumpf might be re-elected solely for the purpose of keeping U.S. of A. out of the TPP, because nothing guarantees that U.S.A. will not join the deal later as if it is premeditated in the boardroom in the back some where of Wall Street.

Do not know what you guys think, but I sure as heck do not want to live in a corporate owned world, Vietnamese workers getting paid half a cent per hour in a sweatshop somewhere loaded with outsourced jobs from the States (which is also job starved too), being charged $15 per minute for browsing KYM, hauled to jail for meme'ing and listening to Persona 6 soundtrack on youtube, and whistleblowers got picked off to the gulag for exposing another Hollywood molester, but Hollywood sues him because the name and the picture is copyrighted®.

Some might think this is crying wolf, but we all know how the story ends. Until I see the corpse of that wolf hanged and full of shotgun slugs, I will not feel easy. Heck, the wolf might even become a zombie and we have to shoot it again.

From what I've researched, a lot of the copright/intellectual property stuff was "suspended" which, please correct me if I'm wrong, when it comes to a bill like this actually means "removed". Which is fantastic, if true.

…But that still doesn't make the rest of it not shit. We're not dealing with a festering demon turd now, we're dealing with just a turd. A really smelly one, but at least it's not as vicious :v

Still a demonic turd or not though depends if their sugar-coated words for "corporate extraterritoriality, extra-judicial space as in rights to tell governments of the world to bugger off and sue them off their shady deals or any regulations they do not like, for example environmental protection, proper safety regulations, and minimum wages within their shell empty one room office somewhere on newly formed volcanic pacific islands." is still standing or not.

Also I do not trust any deals or negotiations done under the table and hidden away from the public either. Whether it is really for good or ill, because that means they know people will oppose it and they do not want to contend and want push their shit without even listening why, or maybe they already know why.

The TPP never left. The fact that the US pulled out of it only temporarily deterred the other participants. The value of the agreement is significantly less without the participation of the world's largest economy, but that isn't enough to kill it.

This is nonsense. The US public has become more supportive of free trade since Trump's election.

Part of this can be explained by partisan political backlash, but the key takeaway is that he has not managed to amass majority support or a solid mandate behind his attempts to kill the TPP or NAFTA.

All countries stand to receive net economic benefits from the TPP. That is in fact the strongest argument in favor of the agreement. I could go into more detail but only if I feel that people are up for an argument.

Bump for signal boost.
