Juicero Has Met Its End

The company behind the infamous DRM juicer went belly-up in sales and is shutting down. Apparently there wasn't enough demand to warrant enough product growth.

In my opinion, the juicer had everything going against it from the design phase. Making a juicer that only works with one specific product and must be linked to the internet via a smartphone app sounds so anti-consumer that EA probably invested in it. Why would anyone buy a $700 $400 juicer, when one that you can put your own produce into will run you less than half of that? What a wasteful attempt to solve a non-problem.

Edit: fuck how did i forget how to link

Really, Juicero?
Juice is just not that fucking hard people. Grab any fruit you like and squeeze it into a glass.
Give me a couple apples and a c-clamp and I'll make juice faster way faster than that gaudy, overpriced paperweight they call a juicer.
