The absolute madman. This anti-globalist, gay frog-hating, absolute madman.

In light of watching another John Oliver video over this man, I started to think. How did he come to be? How is it that so many other insane conspiracy theorists usually disappear into obscurity, yet Alex Jones broke the mold and gained a following. Not a large following but compared to his competition he's clearly beaten them.

How did this guy come to be?

There are plenty of manipulators out there in the world who will prey on the misinformed and stupid. They will feed lies to people and then offer a solution to their bullshit that simply does not exist. Alex Jones is good at peddling bullshit and his bullshit solutions but it seems he has slipped up a bit and fallen into his own trap. Like a dealer doing his own supply.

I feel most consperacy theories simply want to feel like they have some secret key to knowledge most of society is blind too. Like "Oh hehe haha I know who really did 9/11, you are all just stupid sheep, I'm the smart one." Because they are afraid to just admit they don't know or that some times bad things happen.

The reason he became so popular is because he immediately went to radio and TV instead of writing books most people will never hear about.

It also helps that he did this when the militia movement was at its peak and controversies like the Oklahoma City Bombing, Waco, and Ruby Ridge were receiving wide media attention and lead many to question the behavior of their government.

He's really a false flag government shill that's been planted in order to discredit conspiracy theorists and make them look crazy and irrational.

He started in radio and was able to capitalize on the fear and paranoia over the government that was drummed up in the mid to late nineties. Then 9/11 happened. Then the internet allowed him to really branch out from the core AM talk radio show audience he originally had into the meme we all know and love today.
