I heard that Microsoft is going to shut down xbawks live down, in April :O

No.
CLASSIC Xbox Live is going down for the original xbox.
Therefore, if you have the original xbox, then you won't be able to play Xbox Live anymore with it.
Though, Xbox Live on the 360 is here to stay for now.
Man I am glad I got the internet.
