How do you get over the guilt of trolling?

Yeah, I kind of deserved it, but now I feel hurt. Whenever I troll, I feel like absolute crap.

Yeah. Anyone have suggestions? D:
(Probably going to get low karma because of this, but whatever)

OH YEAH. Here's what happened. Might as well tell you:
I disliked someone because her art was popular because it was all shiny-desu-w and all. I told her to work on realism and learn the basics instead of drawing animu. All her little followers got butthurt and told me that "ART'S SUPPOSED TO BE FUUUN."

That's just the long and short of it. It contains a lot of me being a hypocrite, but that sums it up.

NEVER AGAIN!

Just think about how you're teaching someone an important lesson.

You might be teaching them to never trust people on the internet.

The sooner people learn this lesson the lower the chances are that they could be scammed by a Nigerian businessman.

Maybe you're teaching them to not take people on the internet so seriously.

Another important lesson.

As long as they don't physically harm anyone, trolls are like the Mr. Miyagi's of the internet, they are secretly teaching internet users important lessons even though they seem like dicks.

If you'd like to sugar coat it, fine, but sugar-coated slime is still slime. Pardon the analogy, but trolling is trolling. Which, in turn, is a way of saying that you're being an ass on the internet. In my mind, that's just it. And I'm okay with it. If you're not okay with being labeled a troll, and all that that entails, you honestly shouldn't be doing it in the first place, in my opinion.
If you absolutely must troll and you feel guilt, I suggest following Blubber's advice. Then again, if you are capable of feeling guilt, I strongly advise against such behavior.

I very seldom troll, actually. My most monumental troll of all time was me posting the trollface on 4chan and saying, "Hey, I'm trolling."
(the troll part of it all was that I never went back to see the replies. whoever posted there wasted their time.)

But I'm pretty good at evading guilt, so here's my advice: Karma. If you felt the need to troll someone, that was probably Karma's way of evening things up with that person. So remember, trolling is just Karma acting through you.

Trolling is a art. If you feel guilt for trolling, chances are you shouldnt troll.

Just leave trolling up to the heartless bastards like me who troll so much we've actually started trolling IRL. =/

Another critic…

From what I can see, what you did isn't trolling, it's constructive criticism. Trolling is when you commented that you didn't like her art for no valid reason/s. You shouldn't really care about what her "followers" say to you because THEY DIDN'T MAKE THAT ART. It's HERS, not THEM. What you SHOULD care is whether the ARTIST herself confronts you. Yes, art is fun. But it isn't REALLY fun if it gives some other people eyesore…

But then again, while criticizing a person, please try to put some euphemism, or in a more understandable word, sugar coat it. While some harsh words can toughen up a person, too much can degrade them.

And we have to remind ourselves that, in anyway, "the internet is serious business". Either it's serious LOLz, or serious dramu or serious dramedy, it will always be serious to the point that sarcasms are taken seriously that you actually have to mark sarcasm tags "[sarcasm][/sarcasm]" to make them see the joke.

Oh yeah… to people who's gonna reply to this entry, yes. I think there is something wrong with what I said, but I just can't place it. I'm open for arguments.

Anyways, Trolling is Fun. I Exsist because I Troll. That feeling will go away after you sacrifice it. All your emotions shall be sacrificed, and only then can you Troll in the Service of the Emperor!

Ahem…. I mean… Good luck trying to be a nice guy in a shit world. Troll or be Trolled.

Karma is a lie. If you want to be nice, be so. People like you, when you're nice to them, anyway.

You'll make the righteous choice. The world is packed with wicked people. Don't join them. Be righteous & multiply.
