I haven't been here long, so I've been going through old threads acquainting myself with the site, the members and their personalities, the issues and how we handle them, and I've seen a number of farewell threads like this. It seems we either lose handfuls of people, or we are at constant risk of losing them. Usually not because of dying interest, but trolls and raging.

Now, I know this might not be the way we do things 'round these parts, but I have a suggestion for a new forum. I call it "hug it out." If you have a problem with somebody, you make a thread in the hug it out forum. If you two can't hug it out, the aggressor should be apparent from the outcome of the thread, and appropriate action can be taken, presumably making the site better for all!

…I'm sure this isn't likely to happen, but the thought of a Hug it Out forum really made me happy this morning.
