To take a screenshot, you press the print screen button. This puts a screenshot on your clipboard. From there you can paste it into Paint and save it as an image.
Press the Print Screen button located on your keyboard (two keys to the left from the num lock)
Printscreen and paste it in Paint/Word?

alternatively, Alt + Printscreen will place the active window in the clipboard rather than the whole screen.

Also, if you press Alt+F4 and unplug your pc at the same year, it capture the screen
