The +1 -1 Karma system

I realized that the "+1" increases a poster's karma.
Considering the amount of Karma I, Blubber and many others got, I think a lot of people are using it.

It's strange that there aren't floods, considering.
You think everybody would post on every thread to get lots of karma.
I'm just as active as usual, but everyone else's activity is down.

I agree, but I see too few posts now and too many trash entries.
Out of the 12 or so entries we get per day now, I'd say about 9 of them are instant deadpools.
Before this thread becomes about deadpool entries, I have to say "Don't flood, but do post!"

I may have a question about the karma system nervetheless, and the +1/-1.
Is it a bad thing to gather more and more karma ?

Because mine is growing rather quickly…

I sometimes use it when I see very well thought out posts. I rank those posts up (I don't like ranking people down). Most of the time though, I just ignore the system. Hope that doesn't bother anyone.

Haha, I know I wont get very high karma.

Im like that old man that sits on his porch and yells at those god-damn hippie kids who never get off my lawn and then I call their parents but their mom thinks that they're perfect little angels so I tell them that if they get on my damn lawn again I'll get my .22 so she calls the police on me but they cant do crap because I'm 80 and slightly senile.

Yeah, I'm that guy on KYM.

Plus, I'm certain that a few permanent trolls (not naming anyone wink wink) would love to mess with my karma.

Or ball in a cup.

You see, it's fun, because the ball is attached to the cup by a string at the bottom of the cup. So even if the ball doesn't go in the cup, you cant lose the ball, and can try again to get the ball in the cup.
