New users are now starting to piss me off.
Yes, I know we were all one at some point, but this situation we have is getting out of hand. Most of the past few entries have either been already submitted or just youtube crap.
We need to do something about this… NOW!

I recently read Bill Wasik's book And Then There's This: How Stories Live and Die in Viral Culture and something stood out to me that I'd like to put into practice more in this site.

Bill was paraphrasing something Jonah Peretti once said:

Memes spread precisely when they break out of their audiences and achieve a sort of transcendence of subculture.

In my opinion, we've allowed too many meme entries that never break out of their subculture, which is exactly where a lot of these problems arise.

@Adorabunny:
Why would we hate you? You're not a noob.

@Thread:
Why not just let the admins deadpool the useless and non-meme entries? I don't see why it's necessary to overreact to this situation. There have always been noobs who make false entries, nothing's changed. You need to keep in mind, however, that KnowYourMeme's rising popularity is, in part, to blame. You are going to see that with any website, and KYM is no different.
Don't worry, the solutions are in the works. Once we have moderators the useless entries will be deadpooled/marked invalid quicker.
I don't see why you guys are so quick to rage. This is to be expected. Noobs will be noobs, we just have to understand that and know how to react. E.g., handle the situation maturely, not shout "WTF IS THIS???!!!! TROLL!!! GTFO!!!". A simple "+1 deadpool, now here's why…" will suffice. They will learn from their mistakes. If need be, explain to them what a meme is.
If they are a troll, simply do not react. Message one of the admins about that user, give them a link, and explain their behavior and they'll take care of it.

@Shadowfury:
You are exactly right. Noobs will be noobs. There is no reason to overreact to this problem. There have always been n00bs on this website who make stupid meme entries that get deadpooled.
