I bought some "Kodiak Bear BROWNIE man mix," today. In the ingredients needed it says you can substitute the butter for applesauce or yogurt. Is this win y/y?

I just got back from the backwoods cabin my mom lives in.
This is real meat from a black bear that she shot. She gave me some cash and eight pounds of ground bear meat.
And yes, this will make me as manly as my mother. :)
