viral videos: train dodging

Apparently, doing cartwheels or backflips doesn't cut it for the kids anymore. These videos, typically involving teenagers from all over and high-speed trains, can be easily found on YouTube when you type in "train dodging."

According to English Russia:

"This is needed to be done fast, because if one is appearing before the train too long before and machinist could see him and start breaking, so they run on the rails just before the train so he couldn’t start breaking and fell down on the rails, then the train moves above the person at his maximum speed, just a few inches from his head and back."

Here's another video filmed by a Dutch kid. Here's another one by a bunch of Russian kids. Of course, there's a good reason not to try this: you might trip and die.

I know this is happening in real life and a variation of "playing chicken" at best, but could this be considered a viral video?

Someone brought a couple of these video's to my attention on fark a while back and then I saw them again on english russia. I would have to argue the virality of these videos. To me it just seems like stupidity but it's happening all over the world with vid's going back at least four years ago.

Maybe when a kid in the US gets creamed by a train and the lawsuits start flying then it'll go viral.
