Places to find real honest critique?

Im trying to learn how to draw and im stuck in a rut and can't get out. I know my drawings look bad but I don't know WHY they look bad. Ive been joining art web sites and forums to try and get better and get some critique but every single one is the same. I post something on there and ask "How can I improve?" Or "what do you think?" and no one will be honest or give helpful constructive advice. Best ill get is a vague "Just keep drawing" as if I didn't have the brain power to come up with that amazing idea on my own. They wont point out proportion, coloring, ect problems in the drawing

Other sites seem to be a big circle jerk where no matter how badly a drawing is no one will be honest and the whole place seem more like a popularity/ego contest rather then a place to get critique.

I really need help if I want to advance my art work. Has anyone been to a site where the users are honest with their critiques? Some place where they can point out proportion issues and help guide me in the right direction?

There's been a few drawing threads here, so maybe the people on this site can help you like they have with others. If you post some of your work, someone will probably help you out.

Should I post it on a specific topic or just start a new one?

I've been helping Conman in the thread ZZZ linked, as he said, post there or if you're not comfortable with that (Although this is the best way, group critique in public is always the best) you can PM me via the site and I'll take a look. There are other artists for the site.

With the critique you just gotta remember I for one will be completely honest. Meaning if I say I don't like something you're doing or something along the lines – don't take it to heart, use it as a point of improvement.

If you'd like some helpful links, look at Page 3 of the linked thread – I've left links to helpful sites for beginners to look at which also continues on Page 4. If and when you do post any art there, please include what pens, pencils, paper size, type of paper etc. that you're using. (Digital tools, if any name em too.) Helps me to Help you if I know what you're working with.
