Tried it out a few times, it seems to work.

I have to say, I don't actually like this addition much. I don't see much purpose to it if there's no "highest rated" feature, and even then I don't think it will be very helpful to distinguish good photos from bad ones. Most of the pictures that even get any views in the first place are of one meme.

There will be new tabs for that under /photos and /videos once there are enough thumbs.

Buried pictures (like this one) aren't hidden like comments. I think they should be hidden as well.
