2:29 I'm going to be really transparent here in this email. I'm offended that my child has had to learn and study about slavery since 3rd grade. It's been hammered into him EVERY SINGLE YEAR. There's SO much more history to be learned other than slavery. And how his generation is supposed to make changes to that. We're not going to do anymore assignments related to slavery. Sarah-ann We honestly had a horrible time there not from the people involved but definitely a very different code then Ottawa my husband and I drove out truck we couldn't get down the road by the park so drove up and down young street. We were given the finger and told to f--- off more then we have in our entire lives. We had one guy stand in front of our truck and wouldn't move while screaming "f--- you get the f--- out of my city" we tried to tell him to move so we could he wouldn't a huge crowd gathered and the cops took their time to come and move him. It was not a good experience at all. I love being apart of this amazing movement but I don't think we will ever return to Toronto. But I did hear that closer to the part was amazing. That is solely based on location...no fault of Mexico! We read endless reviews for the hotel first and no-one mentioned that during the time that we went, that sun did not hot the majority of the beach and the pools until mid afternoon!I dont think there was even sun on the adult pool until at least 3:30-4pm every day. Thank god for the roof top patio (I dont think kids can go up there though), which has a hot tub and a cool tub - but no pool. There is a bar/bartender however if you are looking at being in the large pool in the glistening sun, you may want to look at a hotel that is on the other side closer to the Marina. The wifi is great - lots of reviews saying the wifi is spotty. Not at all - full bars everywhere in and around the hotel including on the beach. Lots of nighttime activities - Silent Disco, Shows by the pool such as fire dancers, glow party, mexican night etc - All were great!! Restaurants that we tried were very good! Best chicken quesadillas and guacamole by the pool! There is a Tequilla bar on the 12th floor that wasn't opened however there is also a Martini bar (boring) with a pool table and a Mojito Bar (very cool) as well that we went to.
