That is solely based on location...no fault of Mexico! We read endless reviews for the hotel first and no-one mentioned that during the time that we went, that sun did not hot the majority of the beach and the pools until mid afternoon!I dont think there was even sun on the adult pool until at least 3:30-4pm every day. Thank god for the roof top patio (I dont think kids can go up there though), which has a hot tub and a cool tub - but no pool. There is a bar/bartender however if you are looking at being in the large pool in the glistening sun, you may want to look at a hotel that is on the other side closer to the Marina. The wifi is great - lots of reviews saying the wifi is spotty. Not at all - full bars everywhere in and around the hotel including on the beach. Lots of nighttime activities - Silent Disco, Shows by the pool such as fire dancers, glow party, mexican night etc - All were great!! Restaurants that we tried were very good! Best chicken quesadillas and guacamole by the pool! There is a Tequilla bar on the 12th floor that wasn't opened however there is also a Martini bar (boring) with a pool table and a Mojito Bar (very cool) as well that we went to. If traveling to downtown or the marina, call an Uber.WAY cheaper than a Taxi! All in all, trip was good!"
