I work in a cafe. A man without a mask came in. Now, I'm not ALLOWED to serve maskless patrons. We have a box of masks, but he refused. When I told him I couldn't serve him, he threw water at my face. 2 45+ Years Old 8 Male RATE THIS CHAT You are horrible For working? Dude. I gotta pay bills. I don't make these rules. That's WAY above my | pay grade. Lmao Some people have phobias about wearing masks Covid is the flu anyway And that sucks. But they have other options. If they can't/ won't wear a mask, fine. Use the f------ app and get curb side delivery. Don't even have to get out of the car. But if they wanna come into the shop, they have to follow the shop rules. Where do u work ? At a small family owned Cafe. Do u go anywhere maskless I don't go anywhere but work. Lmao Why not Are u a xenaphobe ? I was a recluse before all of this madness started. This is all just a great reason for me to stay home. Not really Lol What crime did the customer commit? Well, at the end he assaulted me and another coworker. Which is why he got arrested. How did he allegedly assault you? Throwing a drink onto someone is assault. As is spitting at someone (which he did to a coworker). It was all caught on the security footage. What did u say or do to him first to provoke the response? The conversation was short. He came in. I asked if he happened to have a mask. He said no. I offered him one (we have a box of free and fresh masks to offer in case anyone forgets). He said he wouldn't wear one. I told him that l'm really sorry, but that without a mask I am not able to help him, and asked if he had the app to place a curbside order. He got mad. He told me to do my job. I told him that | am doing my job, and that a big part of my job is to follow the company policy. I told him (again) that l'm sorry, I understand it's inconvenient, but that I can't help him if he doesn't wear a mask. Then, he threw the water at me. Wearing a mask is not a crime!!! U bullied him We are a privately owned establishment. That means that, so long as we aren't discriminating, we can make WHATEVER rules we want. We could say that you have to wear red ball gowns, ban left shoes, and refuse to serve anything but hot milk after 1 PM, if we wanted to. Lmao We are 100% allowed to require masks. If he doesn't like that, fine. We've made other accommodations. But nobody gets to come into our shop and ignite our rules. Or did i throw the water on your self & cry like a little girl & your manager doctored the video & Making people wear a mask is discrimination No. It isn't. Legally, it is 100% NOT discrimination. It has nothing to do with gender, age, religion, race, sexuality, or any of the other protected groups. What is the name of the business So while he is eating he needs to wear a mask? We don't have any kind of dine in available. Take out only. To come in, order/pay, and wait for a drink, a mask is required. *drink or food What if a customer is deaf? We do things via writing. So u don't allow the deaf customer to read your lips? I don't take my mask off, no. That is a form of discrimination Hopefully u & your bosses get sued one day Lmao It isn't. Yes You are flat wrong, dude. The law is clear see u like to bully people with disabilities No I'm not Taking an order via writing, when helping someone who is hearing impared, is not bullying. Because u think u have power over another This has nothing to do with "power". If you don't want to wear a mask, you don't have to. Dear Anonymous Passerby, Don't worry, you're safe now! Your act of casual cruelty was successful. The complaint you lodged with the HOA was heard. They had me take down the small treefort that I built on this location with my sons during the pandemic. No longer will its presence offend your walk) past my house.
