After reading the comments I realize the bit about historical remembrance is out of touch and uninformed (it was a hastily smashed together low effort meme, shame on me).
The point about preserving them as art in some form, be it a museum showcase labeled "America's Great Shame" in bright flashing letters or otherwise, still stands.
