If an image matches any of these dimensions, it is possibly downscaled. This resolution cap is dictated by the direct image link URL, like so: https:// 78.media tumblr.com/14ff21496d3273c194d0c0aca72c84f/tumblr_nysjd2WyqE1r6gomfo1_500.jpg Replace with data Replace with raw Changing the number at the end changes the image resolution cap accordingly. To get the original uploaded image, you have to change it to raw. Additionally, to get around tumblr's changing URL system, you need to replace the server number and the subdomain (in this case 78 media) with data. The image behind the fixed link http://data.tumblr.com/14fff21496d3273c194d0cOaca72c84f/tumblr_nysjd2WyqE1r6gomfo1_ raw.jpg is 1188x1434 pixels, over twice the size.
