The nekomimi and a particular discussion about what precisely moe was spurred an attempt to NHK her (see Pururin) And thus was bon a joke by an anonymous 2chan artist. However, through repeated repostings here, largely by myself she gained a (very) small following here, mostly consisting of anons who would post "WHAT HAS SCIENCE DONE?" or "KILL IT WITH FIRE!" or the most hurtful "KILL ME".
