Tonight We Strike is a song featured in the 2015 TV movie The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar. It later became popular as a remix meme on YouTube.
Origin
"Tonight We Strike" was featured in the TV movie The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar, which premiered on November 22nd, 2015.[1] The song was uploaded to YouTube the same day, and gained over 4 million views (shown below).
Spread
The song quickly became an animation meme on YouTube, with various artists contributing animations paired with the song. The day after the video was posted, YouTuber ChrisM1994 posted the song paired with clips from Dino Melody (shown below, left). On December 13th, YouTuber XlitleoY posted an In G Major parody of the song that gained over 161,000 views (shown below, right).
The song later became popular in the Five Nights at Freddy's animation community, as several popular uploads of the track features animations from the game. On March 24th, 2018, YouTuber Enforma posted a FNAF remix that gained over 123,000 views (shown below, left). On December 19th, 2017, YouTuber HipLawyerCat 26 uploaded a collaborative animation for the track that gained over 128,000 views (shown below, right).
Many of the animated clips for the song use a remixed version by Sayonara Maxwell, which was uploaded to YouTube February 7th, 2016 (shown below).
