Timmy TikTok Trend, also spelled Timmah or Timmyah, is a meme trend on TikTok that uses a portion of audio from a South Park episode in which the character Timmy is trying to talk to Mr. Mackey about Jimmy. The soundbite went viral after being uploaded to TikTok in early 2023, with many fan edits and lip-dub memes of the scene, as well as people acting out the character's mannerisms, being spread on the platform throughout February that year.

Origin

The scene the audio originated in is from South Park episode two in season eight, titled "Up the Down Steroids," and features the character Jimmy injecting steroids to be a better athlete. Timmy, upon finding this out, goes to talk to the counselor Mr. Mackey, which does not go as planned. The scene was uploaded to YouTube by the channel Cheni Argenta^[1] on May 6th, 2016, getting over 240,000 views in six years (shown below).

On February 13th, 2023, the audio was then used in a TikTok by TikToker @Meialexl,^[2] who used the scene itself directly and placed it on top of gameplay from Pokemon Ultra Sun, gaining over 285,000 likes in two weeks (shown below).

Spread

The audio was quickly picked up and spread around as people started to react to the heartbreak that Timmy is experiencing by not having Mr. Mackey understand him, and the frustration of not being able to properly tell on Jimmy for cheating. On February 20th, 2023, the TikToker realfrhayley^[3] uploaded herself acting out the opening of the scene, gaining over 240,000 likes in the process (shown below).

On February 26th, 2023, the TikTok artist ultimate.lucky.artist^[4] uploaded a video in which he did an original animation of the scene in a style commenters likened to Meatcanyon, gaining over 515,000 likes in 26 hours (shown below).
