This Fucking Sucks Actually, or Literal Coolest Thing Ever, refers to a viral FallenChungus webcomic in which a character wearing a hat reading "thinking cap" points to a hotdog on a skateboard labeled "literal coolest thing ever" while saying, "this fucking sucks actually." The comic was posted to X / Twitter in late March 2024 and became the subject of memes as an exploitable format over the following months, used to call something out as being bad.

On March 28th, 2024, X[1] user and webcomic artist @FallenChungus posted a comic in which a character facing the viewer points to a hotdog riding a skateboard in the background, the hotdog labeled "literal coolest thing ever," and says, "This fucking sucks actually," garnering over 50,000 likes and 5,300 reposts in just over a month (shown below).

The comic became the subject of "photoshops": over the following weeks, altering various aspects of it to make the character suggest that something subjectively cool sucks, poking fun at people online who have contrarian viewpoints on a given topic. For example, on March 29th, a meme was posted to /r/dccomicscirclejerk[2] applying the format to Miles Morales' powers, garnering over 4,000 upvotes in just over a month (shown below).
On April 1st, X[3] user @Settacutie posted an edit of the meme replacing the text in the speech bubble with "April fools actually" as a quote-repost to Mojang's April Fools joke, which seemed to tease an update allowing players to build moving sculptures in Minecraft, garnering over 111,000 likes in a month (shown below).
On the same day, the isolated meme was posted to /r/coaxedintoasnafu,[4] titled "Me when I put more effort into an April Fools joke than into an actual update," garnering over 1,700 upvotes in the same span of time.

On April 24th, Instagram[5] user fiddlewiddles posted an ironic drunk driving version of the meme, garnering over 2,000 likes in a week (shown below).
