The Ancestral Homeland of Timothée refers to a catchphrase and phrasal template meme based on a tweet posted by X / Twitter user @ClubChalamet, a stan account for American actor Timothée Chalamet. After appearing in late November 2024, the phrase became the subject of parodies and memes in which people replaced "Paris" with "the ancestral homeland of Timothée" in various images and jokes.
Origin
On November 25th, 2024, the X account @ClubChalamet[1] tweeted about her trip, writing, "Bonjour from Paris, France, the ancestral homeland of Timothée! 🇫🇷 🥐" showing some photos of her hotel room and the view of the city. The tweet (seen below) amassed over 5.9 million views and 9,400 likes in a day.

ClubChalamet's tweet went viral in just a few hours as netizens made fun of the unusual phrase "the ancestral homeland of Timothée" used in the post.
For instance, on November 25th, 2024, X[2] user @colleenk92 posted a version of the Netflix Emily In Paris TV show poster (seen below), adding the overlay text "the ancestral homeland of Timothée" over "Paris," which amassed more than 1.8 million views and 71,000 likes in a day.
On November 26th, 2024, the official X[3] account of the Embassy of France in the United States posted a screenshot sarcastically changing the account's name to "Embassy of the ancestral homeland of Timothée." The post received roughly 1,000 likes and 100 reposts in a few hours.
