See That Wasn't So Bad, Now Let's Go Get You X, also known as Sugar Granny, is an image caption meme format based on a still image from a pornographic scene in which an older woman with short gray hair is standing in her underwear near a young man wearing a flannel shirt sitting on a bed. The format implies that the man had sex with the old woman, who now has to fulfill her promise to buy him something he wants. The format has been used online since 2019 and has often reflected consumer trends, price hikes and shortages, such as the 2020 PlayStation 5 shortage and the 2023 egg shortage.
Origin
Prior to May 4th, 2019, the pornographic website AgedLove.com uploaded an adult film titled "She Wants Something More Than Just the Money" featuring mature pornstar Savana.[1] In the opening scene preceding the main act, the older woman removes her robe, standing in her underwear and stockings as she seduces the man.
Before May 4th, 2019, an unknown user posted the earliest found meme based on the still image of the older woman standing next to the bed as the younger man looks away from her, captioned, "See that wasn't so bad now was it.. Now let's go get those jeep parts you needed.." (shown below). The image was widely circulated online in May and June 2019, including reposts and Reddit,[2] iFunny[3] and Facebook.

In May 2019, the earliest derivative versions of the meme were shared online on Facebook and other sites. For example, on May 4th, 2019, the Facebook[4] page Finishing Touch Vintage Auto Accessories posted one of the earliest found caption memes within the format.
On May 16th, 2019, Redditor de-joip posted a version of the meme that received over 60 upvotes in the /r/streetwear[5] subreddit (shown below).
On October 11th, 2019, X[6] user @BreandanDaGawd posted a version in which the man paid with sex for getting a preorder on the PlayStation 5 console, with the post gaining over 3,400 reposts and 10,000 likes in five years.
More memes based on the format were shared on X, Reddit and other sites in the 2020s, with the posts often reflecting consumer and economic trends. For example, on January 7th, 2024, Redditor VivaZane posted a meme about the Stanley Cup Craze that received over 1,100 upvotes in /r/memes[7] prior to removal (shown below).
