About
Disguised Toast is the online handle of the Canadian YouTuber and streamer Jeremy Wang, best known for his Hearthstone, Teamfight Tactics and Among Us gameplay videos. Originally a prolific Hearthstone YouTuber and competitive player, Disguised Toast reached significant success with his Among Us videos and streams in August and September 2020 and is largely responsible for the popularization of the game along with streamer xQc.
Online History
On April 7th, 2015, Hearthstone player Jeremy "Disguised Toast" Wang launched his YouTube channel,[1] posting his first YouTube[2] video, a Heartstone highlight, on April 23rd, 2015 (shown below, left). Early in his career as a Hearthstone YouTuber, Disguised Toast wore a cardboard mask of a toasted slice of bread with a mustache and sunglasses drawn upon it, also using the picture on as his YouTube logo and profile picture. He officially revealed his face in October 2016 during a live stream[3] on Twitch.
The name "disguised toast" originates from the summoning quote of Hearthstone card SI:7 Agent. While the line is "Ha, this guy is toast," it can be easily misheard as "Ha, disguised toast," which was a subject of jokes in the Hearthstone community.
In 2017, Disguised Toast joined the content creator collective OfflineTV[4] which, as of September 2020, also includes streamers and YouTubers Scarra, Pokimane, LiluPichu, Yvonnie and Michael Reeves.
In 2019, Disguised Toast moved away from Hearthstone to focus on the autobattler game Teamfight Tactics, also playing a variety of other strategy-based and shooter games on his streams and YouTube channel. On August 4th, Disguised Toast started streaming the Mafia-inspired video Among Us alongside with fellow OfflineTV streamers and several others streamers on Facebook Gaming[5][6] and uploading gameplay highlights to his YouTube channel. Together with xQc, Disguised Toast is largely responsible for the mainstream popularization of the game in August and September 2020.
As of September 2020, Disguised Toast had over 1.75 million subscribers on YouTube and over 506,000 followers on Facebook. Between early August 2020 and September 17th, 2020, after he started uploading Among Us gameplay videos, the YouTuber gained over 600,000 subscribers on YouTube.
Reputation
In 2019, Disguised Toast was nominated for the 11th Shorty Awards in the "Twitch Streamer of the Year" category.[7]

In June 2017, Disguised Toast was temporarily banned[8] from Hearthstone for 72 hours after he showcased an in-game exploit on his stream.
