Cooking With Kya or Cookinwitkya, real name Kya Renee, is a content creator known for her cooking videos on TikTok and Instagram, beginning each video by dancing and twerking with a plate of food while chanting, "Cooking with Kya, Cooking with Kya." Before she started her Cooking WIth Kya series, Kya Renee began posting content on TikTok^[1] @cookinwitkya on September 13th, 2021. On July 5th, 2024, she posted a dance video to TikTok^[2] in which she compares her looks to Rubi Rose's that gained over a million views in five months.

Cooking With Kya Series

On July 26th, 2024, Kya posted her first Cooking With Kya video to her Instagram^[3] page, cookinwitkya, in which she makes honey BBQ chicken tenders and fries, garnering over 400,000 views in five months.

On August 19th, she posted her second cooking video to Instagram,^[4] this time starting the video by saying "I could steal your man with this dinner I just cooked" then dancing with the plate of food while chanting "cooking with Kya," garnering over 1.6 million views in four months. This became her regular intro going forward.

Kya also began uploading her cooking videos to TikTok, where they became similarly popular. On December 2nd, Kya posted a cooking video to TikTok^[5] in which she dances, twerks and chants while holding a breakfast plate, garnering over 10.5 million views in a week. This became her most popular video on TikTok. On December 8th, Kya uploaded a cooking video to TikTok^[12] that gained over 5.5 million views in two days.

Video Leak Rumor

On December 15th, 2024, X^[14] user @sh6rky tweeted, "Bitches leaked Kya sex tape cause she was cooking?! @God send the flood pls," gaining over 4,500 likes in a day (shown below). The tweet is the first known viral reaction to a video allegedly showing TikToker Cooking With Kya giving oral sex. In a reply, X^[15] user @sh6rky alleged that a woman from "Long Beach" originally leaked the video. The claim is unconfirmed.

In December 2024, following her December 2nd, 2024 breakfast plate upload, Cooking With Kya became the subject of memes on sites including TikTok and X / Twitter. Many of the memes are about men thirsting for Kya, while others are about women getting mad at their partners for thirsting over Kya.

For example, on December 7th, 2024, TikToker^[6] @likidiwi posted a meme using a video of a man complimenting his wife's food under the caption, "Me if I ever get a plate from cookingwithkya," garnering over 6.5 million views in three days.

That day, X^[7] user @66no60 posted a GIF of a man dancing in a hotdog costume, writing, "cooking with Kya, cooking with Kya, cooking with Kya," garnering over 20,000 likes in three days. On December 8th, X^[8] user @FearedBuck posted a video by Kya, writing, "now i see why the entire internet going crazy over cookingwithkya 😭," garnering over 36,000 likes in two days.

That day, TikToker^[9] @iamnotsexyyred posted a vide captioned, "me if i ever hear the words 'cooking with kya' come from my man phone," in which she acts out beating a man up after hearing the words come from his phone, garnering over 2.2 million views in two days.

Later that day, X^[10] user @Sgstre00 posted a screenshot of Kya, writing, "Is it just me or Cooking With Kya isn’t that fine like people make it out to be?" garnering over 5,700 likes in two days.

On December 9th, X^[11] user @32Bound23 posted a Cooking With Kya video next to a Mochi Munchies video, writing, "Legendary battle," garnering over 33,000 likes in a day. That same day, TikToker^[13] @tezandtrina posted a comedy video in which a woman is inspired by Kya to cook for her man, who then taste tests her food and lies about it being good, garnering over 2 million views in a day.
