Moto Moto is an animated hippo and ladies' man featured in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa that is known for his flirtatious attitude and handsomeness.

Origin

On November 7th, 2008, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa was released.^[1] Moto Moto means "hot hot" in Swahili and this hippo is meant to be a heart-throb. Moto Moto is flirtatious and acquires a crush for main character hippo Gloria solely for her "chunky" body.^[2] On November 8th, 2008, BlackTree TV uploaded a video introducing the character Moto Moto and the voice actor Will.i.am playing the character (shown below). The video has gained over 340,000 views and 450 likes in 11 years.

On September 13th, 2009, YouTuber XTheVideoGirlX uploaded the song Big and Chunky sung by Will.i.am (Moto Moto) of the Black Eyed Peas (shown below, left). The video has gained 3.5 million views and 68,000 likes in ten years. The song has been parodies multiple times. On April 28th, 2018, YouTuber Ollie Memes uploaded a video of all the scenes that involve Moto Moto (shown below, right). The video has gained 3.4 million views and 105,000 likes in a year.
