Marinka's Sailor Uniform refers to pictures of Indonesian chef Rinrin Marinka wearing a sailor uniform costume as a judge in Junior Master Chef Indonesia. The outfit grew popular online, inspiring fan art.

Origin

On July 10th, 2022, Indonesian chef Arnold Poernomo uploaded a photo of himself wearing a Japanese boy's junior high school uniform costume as a judge at Junior Master Chef Indonesia to his Twitter account.^[1] Next to him is Rinrin Marinka and Juna Rorimpandey, also judges. The caption referenced the Food Wars! anime series. The tweet received more than 36,600 likes and 4,500 retweets in one week (shown below, left). On the same day, Marinka uploadeda photo of herself wearing a sailor uniform in the show to her Instagram page.^[2] The photo received more than 61,900 likes in one week (shown below, right).

The photos grew popular on social media, particularly on Facebook.. On July 10th, 2022, the Facebook^[3] page AWVerse uploaded a screenshot of Poernomo's tweet. The post received more than 2,500 reactions and 1,800 shares.

Marinka's photo was also popular, inspiring sexually-charged fan art and memes of her wearing the sailor uniform. On July 10th, 2022, Facebook^[4] user Nami Fakajima Katsuki uploaded an Ugly Bastard edit of the picture, receiving more than 1,300 reactions and 1,000 shares in one week (shown below, left). On July 12th, Indonesian webcomic "Kang Cilok's" uploaded fan art of Marinka to their Facebook.^[5] The post received more than 5,200 reactions and 456 shares (shown below, right).

On July 11th, 2022, Facebook^[6] user Andrian Januar Adilia uploaded fan art of Marinka. The post received 933 reactions and 282 shares (shown below, left). On July 16th, 2022, Facebook^[7] user ZukoYoshi uploaded another piece of fan art. The post received 213 reactions and 82 shares (shown below, right).
