I'm a Lion Pizza Chicken refers to a misheard version of the phrase I'm a Lying Piece of Shit King. The original audio comes from an explicit, gay porn video posted to Twitter / X by the user @LoveAndLightTv who's also known for the Is That Dick Good? 'Yes King' How Good Is That Dick? video. The meme is akin to Thugposting (aka gay, Black men memes) which falls under the category of Recontextualized Porn. I'm a Lion Pizza Chicken memes trend en masse on TikTok in late 2023, spawning out of Hood Irony circles.

Origin

On August 25th, 2023, X^[1] user @LoveAndLightTv posted an explicit video that showed him having intercourse with another man. At one point in the clip, he keeps telling his partner, "Say it again," to which his partner keeps saying, "I'm a lying piece of shit, king." The post received roughly 14,100 likes in two months.

On August 26th, 2023, the video was reposted to the /r/hoodironycentral^[2] subreddit by Redditor _Chromozone, gaining over 670 upvotes in two months. Also on August 26th, a Fortnite video with the audio was posted by TikToker^[3] @yoflan, gaining roughly 1.8 million plays and 71,500 likes in two months (shown below). In the comment section of the aforementioned video, as early as September 1st, 2023, various TikTokers commented "I'm a lion pizza chicken."

Going into September 2023, the sound of the aforementioned TikTok gained mass usage, evident in viral photo slideshows posted by TikTokers.^[4]

On September 9th, 2023, TikToker^[5] @7sight posted a slideshow with three images of a lion, a pizza and a chicken, gaining roughly 7.4 million plays and 904,200 likes in one month. On September 13th, 2023, TikToker^[6] @dy3uyoxub1q8 posted a screen-recording of the slideshow, gaining roughly 957,700 plays and 40,200 likes in a month (shown below, left). Weeks later, on September 30th, a clip of Dreamybull reacting to the slideshow was posted on TikTok^[7] (shown below, right).

During the month of September 2023, various videos featuring the audio and the misheard words surfaced online, such as a Drake freestyle video posted by TikToker^[8] @_apo11o_ on September 10th, gaining roughly 511,700 plays and 56,300 likes in one month (shown below, left). On October 1st, TikToker^[9] YMC Gigglesaurus posted his own iteration of the audio, receiving roughly 1.1 million plays and 126,700 likes in two days (shown below, right).

The videos spread to other platforms as well, evident in YouTube^[10] videos posted in the timeframe.
