Hey Kid, Do You Want A Wiener In Your Mouth? refers to videos featuring a drawing of video game character Sans from Undertale holding a hotdog and ketchup with a voiceover saying the phrase. Initially beginning as a small Sans fan art on DeviantArt in 2016, it regained popularity in late 2022 via memes featuring the aforementioned voiceover, before a further voice over was done featuring his brother Papyrus.

Origin

On January 17th, 2016, Erkfir^[1] posted a drawing of Sans holding a hotdog and ketchup on DeviantArt, simply titling it Sans, where it would net over 33,000 views in eight years while undergoing a repainted revision (shown below). This image would receive a lot of comments from the Undertale community with Sans suggestively asking if the reader would enjoy a wiener in their mouth.

The image received mild attention over the following years, until a voice-over was made using the phrase and image. On August 2nd, 2022, the YouTube channel Someguyidk^[2] uploaded the two-second voiceover while the song Stay by Kid La Roi and Justin Bieber played in the background. The two-second sound byte would gain over 22,000 views in one year on YouTube while it started to get popular on TikTok and in YouTube Shorts (shown below).

The quick two-second voice-over with Sans started to see itself being used in various other videos, though often as a bait-and-switch or a Jumpscare. This can be seen in the September 6th, 2022 YouTube video uploaded by the channel The Monkey Man^[3] titled Five Little Happy Stars. In the video, which gained over 106,000 views in two years, a clip from a children's color learning video plays with Sans and the voiceover phrase being inserted as a jump scare, as explained in the video description (shown below).

On TikTok, the voice over of Sans was added onto by fans with the inclusion of Papyrus. Within the Undertale community, Papyrus and his Spaghetti was an established meme, and and the Sans voice over gave a new way to explore Papyrus and his spaghetti. On August 8th, 2023, the TikToker notsg2studios^[4] uploaded a TikTok in which Sans asks the viewer if they want a wiener in their mouth, followed by Papyrus asking if they want some balls in their face, while he is holding a plate of spaghetti and meatballs, before having Undyne yell out the word sex, helping to push the meme in a new direction by adding in other Undertale characters (shown below).
