Nintendo of japan probably forced them to bring Xenoblade after the fan outrage and public pressure, which falls in line with what that exec said before he got fired. They did BARE MINIMUM work on it, letting gamestop literally handle almost everything while NoE did the translation over a year before that point and they STILL didn't bring over Zangeki, or the other two rainfall games or fatal frame I figure NoJ thought that after Xenoblade succeeded, despite NoA doing everything in it's power to sabotage it, they wanted NoA to bring over more weeb games to test the waters like Devil's Third and fatal Frame. This again falls in line with what Tamaki leaked about Devil's third and how NoA had no interest in publishing it but then fans were outraged and SUDDENLY they released a trailer for DT a few days later. And then when they finally bring over Fatal Frame they censor it and release it as a digital only game. And then Xenoblade gets hugely censored and they're not marketing it all passing off some s----- lame excuse that "the fans know it's there!" which by this logic, no mario game should ever have a commercial think that they're using fatal Frame and XCX as sacrificial lambs. They know the niche community will forsake them for the censorship and all the meddling which is why they hired 8-4 and the treehouse and let them go wild on the translation. Once they fail they can point at all the money they didn't make on them and tell NoJ so they don't force them to bring over any games like this again Why? Because NoA doesn't want to sell them. They want a safe library full of mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Kirby and Wil!l titles. Titles they can f--- up all they want and no one would care because the audience is full of casuals and the story is so unimportant, cheap titles that take a month max to localize, titles that work well with their cheesy cookie cutter commercial setup, and so on. They want the Wii audience back when NoJ wants to try and go back to earlier era of nintendo where they offered a large library of varied titles
